Processes of making the Nutella:
- Firstly, the cocoa powder is taken from the cocoa bean.
- The cocoa beans are roasted to make the cocoa bean into liquid form.
- The liquid is then sent into presses where the butter is squeezed out of the cocoa bean which then forms circular discs of cocoa.
- Next is the hazelnuts. The hazel nuts are firstly inspected to ensure they are suitable for processing. They are then chopped, cleaned and roasted
- Next a blast of air blows the hazelnuts to ensure all of the bad ones are removed
- The cocoa powder is then mixed with the hazelnuts and the sugar, vanillin and skimmed milk are added also and it is all mixed together until it forms a spread. The palm oil and whey powder is added after this process
- Vanillin is then added to enhance sweetness.
- The product is then packaged and shipped out.
